A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.

and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Yes, A good wife and mother is from the Lord. Proverbs 14 says that the wise woman builds her house,and in Proverbs 19;22 a man who finds a wife receives favor from the Lord.

ReplyDeleteand sometimes she must make dinner on an oven that doesn't even work right. and it helps to have magic fingers for back scratching. what a high ideal toward which to strive. some find being a wife is too complicated and prefer the single life, but most people feel it is worth the effort.
